Prepaid, capped, and visible.
Start the beta with a small service balance. Flex checks available credits before admitting new work and settles measured usage afterward. No subscription, no open-ended allowance, and no separate upstream provider bill.
How credits are added
Credits in the beta
ProvisionalAdded by the team.
During the beta there is no checkout. Tell us how much you want to start with and the Flex team adds the credits to your balance. Top up the same way whenever you need more.
Beta pricing
One balance. Every request metered.
Amounts and terms are a starting proposal and may change before or during the beta. Changes are announced before they apply.
Pay for the work, not the ceiling.
Flex looks at each request and sends it where it fits. A quick edit should not cost what a deep refactor does.
Routed with intent
The costly way to run an agent is to send everything to the biggest model on the menu. Flex chooses a route for each request, so routine steps stay light on your balance and the heavy lifting goes to the work that needs it.
Lean toward savings or toward quality
Some jobs are about thrift and some are about getting it right. Flex lets you tilt the routing either way, so the balance follows what you care about today.
A balance that keeps its word
It is prepaid, so the number you see is the number you can spend. Flex holds credits before each request, keeps only what the request actually used, and shows every charge in the portal. Nothing happens behind your back.
How charging works.
Credits pay for Flex service usage, including the upstream work the selected route needs. The portal shows each charge and the remaining balance.
One credit is US$0.01
Your balance is dollar-denominated. Credits go into one prepaid balance per account; there is no automatic reload.
Metered in microcents, debited in whole cents
Each charged request is priced exactly in microcents (one credit is 1,000,000 microcents), following the usage the route reports. Flex debits whole cents as your accrued usage fills them and carries the remainder, always below one credit, to the next request. A request that costs a fraction of a credit is not rounded up.
Holds before routing
Before a charged request is routed, Flex holds credits against the most it could cost. Only the metered charge is kept when the request settles. With too few credits available, the request returns 402 before it reaches any route.
Some calls are never charged
Listing models, checking your account and counting tokens are free, and keep working when your balance is used up.
Still being finalized
Taxes, credit expiry, refunds and the merchant of record will be stated in plain language before you add credits. Questions before then: [email protected].
The exact admission and metering rules are in the API reference.
Questions.
- Do I pay for a specific model?
- No. You pay for Flex service usage. Adhibita manages the eligible routes behind muscle/auto, and the portal shows each resulting charge.
- Is there a subscription?
- Not in the beta. The offer is prepaid usage. Any future subscription or included allowance will be announced separately and will not apply retroactively.
- Is there a free tier?
- No public free tier is planned for the paid beta. Adhibita may issue limited evaluation credits to invited design partners, with their terms shown in the account.
- Can Flex spend beyond my balance?
- Flex holds credits before routing a charged request and declines new work when the available balance cannot cover the largest possible cost. Set a smaller output allowance to keep that hold small.
- Is a failed request charged?
- If the model did work before a request failed, you pay for that work, at the same rate as a successful request. If the failure was caused by MUSCLE, it is free: for example our own time limit, an unusable multi-step result, or our default output limit. Free failures at our limits are covered by a fair-use allowance for each account, so they cannot be used to get free usage. Safety screening, when enforced on your account, costs $0.0000135 per request. If your credits run out, requests pause until you top up; your account is not suspended.
- What happens if my balance goes below zero?
- A charge reported after a request finished can take your balance below zero. Paid requests then stop until you add credits that cover what you owe. Your account is not suspended and we do not charge a card automatically.
